But (here it comes) when using FREEPMAIL, this info is not seen; leaving one to GUESS as to just which item the sender was refering to in their reply by FREEPMAIL.
Looking at the TIME stamp is NOT enough information.
Can you get your software guru to add this little feature?
The code is already written, it merely has to be reused.
(Now back to our regular programming...)
Or...you could just take part of the original FReepmail and “copy it between quotation marks to give a clue”...it WILL work.

Freepmail is used by many other than in reply to a thread. I contact lots of friends about things that have nothing to do with a thread or even FR.
