I said he did not argue *Torah* with them...He did not try to prove himself right....
It wasnt till the mid 1980s that the mormons even claimed a mormon holy ghost...
Before that they used to tell me there was no such “thing”
2 mormon missionaries were riding by on theirt bikes as I was walking down the street...
they got in my way on the sidewalk forcing me to stop...
I knew who or what they were but I didnt tell them...
I thought “desperation” that they would attack a Christian that way but I let they start their speil...
Then I said “no thanks, I’m a Christian”
They happily said “We are Christians too”
That was a shock to me a first also...
But as I was used to the games and lies I played along...
I had pity on those 2 ignorant kids and prepared to teach them something...
Knowing already that the mormons denied the deity of Jesus and the Trinity I went straight there...
I mentioned that the mormons dont believe in the Trinity
They asked “Whats that?”
I said “God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost”
“Oh yes” they brightly exclaimed “We believe in the holy ghost”
after decades of being told by mormons that there was no such thing and used to the lies and tricks I knew there was some subtefuge in there somewhere ...
I left them shortly after, but I had had a new lesson in the foul cheat that is mormonism..
for mormons to add to their repertoire of lies a “holy ghost” without blinking an eye at their blasphemy or disrespect for God is an example of how far they will go in their obsession for ill gotten riches received through “tithes” and “offerings” from more easily and quickly “converted new slaves....already religious nominal Christians..
and to what length the devil will go to steal Christians from God...
The mormon cult go after Christians with more fevor than they do any other belief or creed...

Getting Mormons to see the problems with Mormonism, the hereseies and lies is difficult.
I had no intention of ever leaving Mormonism, or fighting the Mormon church, yet here I am because God delivered me.
I hated those who ‘attacked’ my mormonism, but I respected them more than the gentle ones who said nothing because if they fought for their faith then the really believed it.
The ‘attack’ approach worked with me, it worked with Rocky Hulse, it worked with Jerald and Sandra Tanner, it worked with Szonian and Sentinel, and millions of others.
You have to see that not all is well in Zion, that Mormonism isn’t ‘true’, that it isn’t biblically sound, then we can start to talk about what is true and what the Bible REALLY says.
Would it be so hard to ask SLC to do the same? A simple thing, like recalling their 52,000+ mormon missionaries, plus innumerable ward and stake missionaries plus all the "every member a missionary" missionaries who go around knocking on doors telling folks their beliefs are wrong?
A handful of FReepers rebutting and refuting mormon doctrine sure causes a lot of twisted knickers around here.

You mentioned you grew up JW, you gave that info out. JWs are another pseudo-Christian cult. And where you are in your walk with Christ is evident by your posts - not far along.
And I know Christ for who He really is, and I am grateful to be saved. and i find it VERY VERY amusing that you keep saying we shouldn’t fight or condemn other Christians yet here you are saying I don’t know who Christ really is.

I think Tara is confusing a Mormon Temple with a Mormon Chapel. She really knows nothing of Mormonism, that is very clear so it would be a common mistake.

Thick skin is required for open religious debate.
According to mormon doctrine the 'god' you worship is named Elohim - a being with flesh and bone that was once a mortal man and progressed to being a god.
Mormons don't worship Jehovah -the premortal name of Jesus - any more because Elohim is the object of your worship. The 'god of this world' eh.
The Holy Ghost is another 'god' albeit lacking a body separate from the others.
Who is El Echad Du in mormon polytheism?

Who is Immanuel in the mormon pantheon of gods du?
Who is ergo eimi in the mormon pantheon of gods du?
