Barclay’s works are a good read when one hits the desert times of life...it refreshes and stimulates your mind, as does all good reads. Though quite naturally I don’t always agree with his take on matters of the faith, (he does seem to have issue with Jesus’s miracles), even so he has some profound insights and enlarges the terrain around scriptures he uses.
