Exactly Syncro, the sword is the word of God, the Bible itself.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devils schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. . Ephesians 6:10-17
Need I remind any Christian that The Word of God = the Holy Bible = Jesus?
The only weapon we need. Who can stand against us?

Well, I’m at the point of deciding. Maybe the Religion Moderator has some ideas about how to get a handle on this situation. RM is doing a great job of organizing and bringing order to the Religion Forum and is infinitely more qualified than I. I’m just a bull in a china shop.

*THEN WHAT IS THE PROBLEM*???? The 'problem' is that the BIBLE (pesky thing) speaks of FALSE CHRISTs to come.
Would it not be LOGICAL that if a person TRULY and LOVINGLY believes in a FALSE Christ they'd probably end up with a FALSE Salvation?

5 If any of you lack wisdom,. .
Prayer for knowledge, in the Bible Certainly you can tell the difference between WISDOM and KNOWLEDGE Du, after all you read all those fancy bible translations.
First John 4:1-3
Says absolutely nothing about praying about the bom. Within the historical context it was used to identify gnostics. Modern application based upon the greek for "try" has nothing to do with praying about the bom or anyother scripture, but to test and verify (like testing a metal) - not feelings (nothing more than feelings. . . .)
I have just quoted to you from the Bible. Prayer for knowledge is Biblical.
Well Du, as you proven to all - your bible comprehension skills are lacking as you continue to tell us something that the passage you cite doesn't state. Tsk, tsk, tsk Du, stop digging yourself in deeper.

Yep, My opinion is final, yours may vary. Well; at LEAST you are cheerful about it!

God bless you and your sainted Mother, Jim. I have long admired your ability to be patient with some of the posters who try to take advantage of your hospitality by acting as though this were THEIR property. It's not.
The voluntary action we take in signing up for membership as a FReeper implies that we will abide not only by the rules as determined by you, but also will abide in the spirit that you have described many times over.
We saw the Guliani supporters, and then the Romney supporters use their posts to batter unsuccessfully against the strength of FR in an attempt to guide it in the wrong direction.
I find it very indicative of your character that you do not allow this great Ship of Conservatism to be shoved onto the rocky shore.
Thanks for the example you bring to us.

Thanks for posting the scripture, T!
I was too busy (lazy?) to look it up and post it.

Will any Mormon tell us who Jesus is? Expect the standard spam of 'lds' website or the perverbial "its been refuted many times already" response.
To: TaraP
I think you are really not quite getting it. I get your "flies and honey" point. But I'm asking, how far do you go? Is sitting in a Wiccan meeting and being polite while they honor Mother Earth ok?
.
As for walking as Christ did, again, how good is good enough?

If there are offending posts they should be removed. If violators continue they should be banned. Mormons, as a whole, should not be singled out by the removal of their right to post a caucus thread.

Punish the offender not the whole group. There's no "I" in TEAM!

Once you get to a Jew who has their genealogy back to Abraham Genealogies were lost when Jerusalem was sacked in AD 70.
(We had to buy a book).
And only one person got richer from it.

My answer is that we as Christians are no longer bound by the law.
Then the law cannot save you. Jesus gave commandments, unless you keep those, the new law will not save you.
Christ fulfilled the law. It no longer applies to Christians and those who insist on keeping even one part of the law are bound by ALL of it (I can source that btw). That is what leads to legalism like the LDS.
OK, Jesus fulfilled the Mosaic law, the law of Moses.
Now, lets explore your :"keeping one law makes you subject to all" premise (this is going to be fun)
Killed anyone in cold blood lately?
If not, you are keeping part of the law, hope you enjoy cooking kosher.
I understand the logic, if breaking one part of the law you are guilty of the law, but keeping say the prohibition against murder, or telling the truth does not make you subject to the rest of the law. Your logic is just silly on that.
It makes perfect sense not to follow the Law.
perfectly silly sense the way you have outlined it here.
And before you go off on the Christans think they can sin all they want rant we dont. We are bound by only 2 commandments (not the 10) - love your God and love your neighbor (and the 10 plus many more are covered by those two). I do good works not because I am bound by the law (I am not) but because I am ALREADY SAVED BY GRACE and Heaven bound, those good works come out of the 2 commandments. That is all.
Let me be the first Mormon to say that I don't feel the love of my Christan brothers when they damn me to hell, or twist my words, call me names or act in a rude manner. if that is the best Orthodox Christians can do in appreciation to Jesus, well Orthodox Christians don't appreciate his sacrifice much.
It makes sense to Christians, but it makes no sense to the spiritually blind.
Actually, I understand your logic, I just also see the holes in it. I do find it funny that you call me spiritually blind when your earlier post explained your non spiritual, secular belief in the Bible. A belief based on physical evidence, not spiritual experience. In light of your handicap, I will refrain from teasing you about your "interpretation" of scripture, and again offer if there is anything I can do to help you receive answers from prayer... just let me know.
