As a nonbeliever in any religion, these threads kind of baffle me. The people I know who comfortable with their Christianity are some of the finest people I've ever met. Raised around a heap of Mormons, and having rejected it, I still must admit that good Mormons are among the finest people I have ever met. As an atheist, I must admit that most of the worst people I've met have been atheists, though that end of the spectrum of character and behavior which is bad spans pretty much every discipline, or non discipline. Our constitution was written by people profoundly moral, based in their belief in God, and I benefit greatly from their morality and sacrifice. Even as an atheist, I can very much appreciate and support any belief that improves personal character and behavior and thus raises our standard of living or quality of life. I see this trait in both Mormons and Christians. Tis greatly sad to me to see them at each others’ throats, when so much truly evil liberalism gathers at our doorstep.
