How many leaders had the last name Kimball?
Two. Spencer W. Kimball, 12th "prophet" (1970s)...wrote a horrific legalistic book called The Miracle of Forgiveness...where he said you had to "earn" your forgiveness...and you've never repented if you commit the same sin you supposedly "repented" of a second time.
And then in the early Utah years...Heber C. Kimball was both an Lds "apostle" and "counselor" as a member of the First Presidency to Brigham Young. He complained later in his years that Young didn't go to him anymore for counsel...thought of himself at that point as more like a lame duck counselor.
