Which didn't stop them from demanding that Jesus be crucified.

They were within their rights to ask for the death penaly but not crucifixion, per Deut 18;

Deut 18:20 "But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, is to be put to death.”

Jesus did presume to speak in the name of G-d things He did not command. Therefore Jesus was not a sacrifice but judged a false prophet.

Therefore Jesus was not a sacrifice but judged a false prophet.

So when God resurrectted Him, then ascended Him to heaven and placed Him at His right hand, superior to the angels, this doesn't just cause a smidgeon of doubt in your judgment of Him?
