Romans 4:4 Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. 5 However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. Why, you mean that the UNGODLY do not have to work to be worth, but simple faith and that it is a WORK OF GOD that credits them as being righteous!!! Making God's grace and OBLIGATION through works.

If our righteousness is as filthy rags to God, just how can anyone consider that they would in any way make one worthy to then receive and continue on in grace?
The best we can do is then the same as doing nothing.
