I've never known anyone who can hold a grudge like an aggrieved Catholic. Of course Rome wants to encourage sectarianism. They invented it during the counter Reformation. Rome figures the more denominations there are among Protestants, the weaker that Protestant opposition will be.

Of course Rome wants to encourage sectarianism. They invented it during the counter Reformation. Rome figures the more denominations there are among Protestants, the weaker that Protestant opposition will be. That's cause Rome thinks everyone thinks like they do. They do not understand the unity of believers across denominational lines and national boundaries.
Our unity is in Christ, not a religious organization.

"Of course Rome wants to encourage sectarianism." Protestantism needs get down on its collective knees and thank God for the Catholic Church. With the examples of Protestant on Protestant sectarian violence given in these threads the unity provided by a collective hatred of the Catholic Church is the only thing keeping ya'll from killing and eating each other.
