The Catholic Church is the true Israel, because in her the covenants with Israel of old are fulfilled, and the new one exists. I've been curious about this statement, annalex. I'm not sure what you mean by this. Please explain further.

I'm not sure what you mean by this Why, the covenants God has with Abraham and then Moses are fulfilled in the Church. They are, perhaps, partly in operation with today's Jewry, to the extent that they choose to remain in them, but they are operating in full with the Church.
