Pulling at straws, now, aren't you? :) Too band the Bible authors didn't know that. They imagined talking snakes and donkeys, when in fact they should have been birds...or maybe bats, since they couldn't tell the difference. And, unlike biblical talking animals, who spoke intelligently, like humans and angels, the birds' "speech" is called mimicry. Hint for nonsense. That means they "talk" without saying anything...like some people I know.
On the contrary, the issue was whether animals could talk, not what the intelligence was behind it.
As with other agnostics and atheists who think they got one over on Christians because they mock the *talking animals* as if it can't happen, yes it can. We have animals today who can talk. Call it what you wish, words that we recognize as speech come out of their mouths.
So you can't blow off the *talking animals* as fantasy and evidence of make believe in religion.

LOL, those talking animals are trained to mimic, not converse. The serpent was the most cunning animal God had created and he actually held a conversation, not just parroting what someone fed him. And neither did the donkey just mimic recognizable sounds, but actually say intlelingent statement.
Not a single talking bird in the Bible. And not a single talking donkey or snake in the world, ever. Do you believe in pink unicorns on Jupiter? Maybe you should give it a try.

Call it what you wish, words that we recognize as speech come out of their mouths. That is not speech. That is simply making sounds. Speech is the intelligent understanding of two way communication via language. I'm not sure why you are persisting in this line of thinking. A macaw or parrot squawking some phrases is not communication as with a human being in speech.
