Care to provide some examples of polite thoughtful responses by Catholics so we can know what they look like?
I do believe Protestants are much closer to Muslims than they are to being Christians. Both Muslims and Protestants believe in sola scriptura, and both reduce Christ to level of "prophet" and a few chapters in a magic book. The Muslims prefer Mohammed over Christ, and Protestants prefer Paul over Christ. That's where they differ. I don't know if that subject has been addressed in a book or not, but I think a full study of this subject would be a very interesting read.
You need to take that up with annalex who said that Catholics are Pauline Christians and Paul's theology supports Catholicism.

Everything S,.t Paul write is inspired scripture and supports the Catholic doctrines. Whoever disparaged St. Paul doesn’t understand Catholicism. We are Pauline Christians.
Do you deny the miracles that the Catholic church included in the Bible and calls inerrant? Are you saying that the Catholic church lied when it said that Jesus raised from the dead and walked on water?

They continue on long after very polite and thoughtful Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodox folks here have explained the errors in the Protestants views of Catholics.
You are talking to a great number of ex-Catholics. We are not lying; we know what we were taught. We are ripping the mask and exposing Catholicism for what it is.
Accusing us of lying is the last desperate defense of someone who has nothing left to argue with.

He doesn’t even seem to understand basic catholic doctrine, let alone grasp God’s word. But I do understand his resistance to Paul; it was Paul that exposed the doctrines of the pre-wrath rapture, and the purpose of the dispensations in God’s plan, in direct refutation of catholic dogma.
Submit,MM, resistance is futile in the face of such humidity.
