Catholics make knowing God far more complicated than it needs to be and ought to be.
It’s all about Jesus. If they’d just toss all the extraneous *tradition* stuff, they’d find their lives much simpler and freer, and closer to the truth of God’s Word.

In its self it’s not, but being truthful and faithful to God’s word is, it being called “truth” by Christ himself.
And Mary having other children gives us the right understanding of other Scriptures so we’re not led into accepting pagan adulterations and false traditions about God’s word.
One has to get the basics right in order to progress.
