I don’t want to intrude on your debate with metmom. However, I would like to elicit a point of information from you. Regarding the “certificate of authenticity,” of which you speak, who/what would be the certifier?
You are welcome to join in, if we can keep it theological/biblical and not let it drift into personal attacks because we may disagree.
I used the "certificate" to call attention to the fact that no one has it! Yet many seem to pretend they do.
When I speak of errors I speak of material errors, errors of translaioton, historical errors, geographical Eros, scientific errors, logical errors, Eros of language, tense, copyist errors, and other objective errors.
Sure, I can also disagree with someone's interpretation as a matter of opinion but not as a matter of fact, because neither I nor the other guy has the certificate of absolute truth, no matter how much seem to believe they do, unless they can produce it.
