We live in NY and even though the priests still held mass, the obligation to get there wasn’t there. There were times it was just too dangerous to go if you had any distance to travel and when it’s snowing like it can with lake effect, it’s not good to be on the streets when they’re trying to plow. You can get stuck for keeps if you’re not careful.
