Abuse information is known only to the Moderators.

I guess I can come to only one conclusion concerning the veracity of the following:

(Natural Law)"If I told you how I know the abuse statistics it would only result in more abuse abuse and probably elicit a warning."

If NL is privy to this kind of information, shouldn’t it be available to all?

For the record, I am skeptical of the claim. The FRoman Catholics seems to have more than their share of warnings from the mods to stop spamming the abuse button although they do seem to have the lion’s share of posts removed.

Which indicates that even if Protestants do hit the abuse button more often, more than likely, it’s warranted.

If you really want to know I applied an exercise in forensic deduction. About 3 months ago I began capturing deleted posts by keeping two windows open simultaneously and referring back and forth to identify the poster and content of the deleted posts. I then went back through the three months of postings on the Religion Forum and reviewed the nearly identical content of the deleted posts to those that weren't deleted and came up with three plausible conclusions, each with a greater than 60% confidence interval, for the disparity in which the standards are applied:

1) Inherent Moderator Bias toward Catholics - I discounted this one

2) Inherent Moderator Bias toward or against individual posters - possible but not probable

3) Response to abuse complaints (the squeaky wheel gets the grease).

4) The standards are applied equally - very low probability (<25%) in light of the examples available.

It is also pretty obvious how certain FReepers make personal insults by substituting terms like "Rome" for "you" in very targeted, specific responses. Now lets see if this results in the warnings and abuse abuse I predicted.

Let’s not be too hasty here. We have a time-tested method of proof. Does she float?

I have a few personal observations concerning the "method".

1. Imaginative but not convincing.

2. Suggestive to me, a non professional, of a Paranoid Personality Disorder.
3. Much wasted time spent by someone whose life is so busy he gets only 4 hours sleep a day.
4. The Moderator may get a chuckle about your "Scientific Research" but there is nothing in your writing which would warrant a warning.
5. I can't help myself---I keep coming back to the "paranoid" thought.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/religion/2618333/posts?page=662#652

and yet here you are posting night and day on an internet forum

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/religion/2618333/posts?page=662#662

Amazing how you can do all that plus post on FR almost 24/7, be attentive to my extended family, work 60+ hours per week, run 10-15 miles a week, coordinate the Altar Server program in my Parish and still find time to be active in the local Tea Party.

Don’t you have a life?

"I have a few personal observations concerning the "method"."

Fortunately no one is interested in your observations, particularly your humorous attempts at psychoanalysis.

I only disclosed my "source" because someone got his panties in a bunch and expressed indignation sought to find a conspiracy where one did not exist.

I didn't say I only "got" four hours of sleep, I said I only need four hours of sleep. That, along with being another example of your disregard for fact, is a completely different matter.

RM - With all of the renewed scrutiny of posts on this thread isn't OR's #946 a perfect example of making a posting about another Freeper?

Ooops, Sorry to forget the quotation marks in the previous post. I didn’t use HTML so the links work and forgot to put the copied and pasted material in quotes.

So here they are, in quotes.....

1000s: “and yet here you are posting night and day on an internet forum”

and ...

NL: “... be attentive to my extended family, work 60+ hours per week, run 10-15 miles a week, coordinate the Altar Server program in my Parish and still find time to be active in the local Tea Party.”

Then do us all a favor and stop reading and responding to them.

Some people seem to want to make this all about you. Probably to deflect scrutiny of their own behavior.

lol, right, anyone posting night and day in my opinion, is fat, on welfare, lazy and delusional, has a dirty house with pizza boxes all over, and the keyboard is all sticky which is why the keys keep missing. and gets at the most, 4 hours sleep once in awhile

Given the obvious diligence of our RM, I suspect he reads every post in all the active threads regardless of being pinged or not. That’s one reason I often don’t ping him even when I mentioin him in a post. I assume he’ll get to it in due time. There’s no need in bothering an already likely very bothered and diligent volunteer. He must have his own ‘other’ life and his own sense of his own priorities.

I don’t need to jump up and down—like some folks we know—crying “ME! ME! ME!” for his attention . . . usually even in extreme cases unless there’s a time-sensitive reason to.

BTW, I can certainly believe that some folks would assert untruths about knowing about insider FR info.

It just seemed to me in recent days to last few weeks, there’s been enough puzzle pieces indicating some horrific collusion in such matters . . . I felt it was quite plausibel that such info did get out inappropriately.
