In Christ Alone lyrics

Songwriters: Getty, Julian Keith; Townend, Stuart Richard;

In Christ alone my hope is found He is my light, my strength, my song This Cornerstone, this solid ground Firm through the fiercest drought and storm

What heights of love, what depths of peace When fears are stilled, when strivings cease My Comforter, my All in All Here in the love of Christ I stand

In Christ alone, who took on flesh Fullness of God in helpless Babe This gift of love and righteousness Scorned by the ones He came to save

?Til on that cross as Jesus died The wrath of God was satisfied For every sin on Him was laid Here in the death of Christ I live, I live

There in the ground His body lay Light of the world by darkness slain Then bursting forth in glorious Day Up from the grave He rose again

And as He stands in victory Sin?s curse has lost its grip on me For I am His and He is mine Bought with the precious blood of Christ

Me, I look at it this way - energy prices are very high nowadays, so, sometimes two problems will solve each other...

Sorry, you are going to have to explain that to me. I have NO idea what you are trying to say here. Really.

When the killing started, there was no federal government. Is your education really that lacking? Do you really think that Cotton Mather is a cartoon? Do you think that Quakers (who repudiated Calvinism) wound up in Pennsylvania by accident? Do you think that the Baptists went south for the weather?

I know, you’d think people would at least read “the gospels” they are so adamant in defending, maybe you need a degree in something

1Cr 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

Did it ever make restitution to the descendants of those it robbed to torture them?

Well, they did say they would "pray" for them.

He has lately been in the habit of throwing mud (can't use the real word) up against the wall and then running away before the stink of the lies hits him in the face.

Can you post a single example of this? I don't recall any, so that is why I ask.

Yes I can but I'm not willing to track your individual posts. I suggest you track them yourself and concentrate on each one that shows hatred to the Colonies, their murderous and barborous, "Protestant" Government.

You have made many claims and refused to document them, even going so far as suggesting WiliPedia as a source of "education".

No one has disputed that the Colonies had State Sponsered Religion. The dispute, which you have ignored, is the extent of their depravity and cruelty.

NL Amazing how I can do that, be attentive to my extended family, work 60+ hours per week, run 10-15 miles a week, coordinate the Altar Server program in my Parish and still find time to be active in the local Tea Party. Maybe only needing 4 hours of sleep per day helps......

OR The Lord only knows. Maybe an overactive imagination helps? Maybe having a Paranoid Delusional Disorder helps? Who knows.

LOL ... delusions of grandeur...("In colloquial usage, one who is said to have 'delusions of grandeur' is considered to be one who overestimates one's own abilities, talents or situation. This is generally due to excessive pride, rather than any actual delusions" Wikipedia )

I do wonder what the benefit of bragging on a public forum is.

Well it causes a loss of these ever so important spiritual benefits that Catholics are always looking for

Mat 6:2 Therefore when thou doest [thine] alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

"How many different types of lies are there?"

I do believe you just finessed the rules in the act of calling me a liar. Fortunately for all of us you are never right on any of your opinions and your streak is holding.

Just a note: You are entitled to talk about you, but talking about me is making it personal. Didn't Dr. E counsel you on the rules like she does to Catholics?

What in the world makes you think I was speaking of you?

FYI I have no interesting in bragging and telling anyone who will listen just how brilliant, educated, and "better than you" I am. Obama does that.

No one has disputed that the Colonies had State Sponsered Religion. The dispute, which you have ignored, is the extent of their depravity and cruelty.

Almost to a man (or woman), either directly, or by silence, our Reformed brethren deny the Calvinist state religions set up by most of the colonies, in the same form that they deny that the Anglicans dabbled in Calvinism.

http://www.smithsonianmag.com/history-archaeology/brief-salem.html touches on the insanity in Salem. Would this be enough, or shall I continue?

Yes I can but I'm not willing to track your individual posts. I suggest you track them yourself and concentrate on each one that shows hatred to the Colonies, their murderous and barborous, "Protestant" Government.

Not necessary. Their unlettered descendants right here on FR provide ample evidence of their intentions.

There was a press. There are volumes of documents covering this period of history.

Is your education really that lacking that you can't supply references? Talk is cheap. We are not speaking of the Vatican where "sensitive" documents are not made available to historians.

You do know what a "four flusher" is?

One of the reasons that Calvinists came here and were so active in the founding of colonies and they led the revolutionary war, and the founding of America and the constitution is they had lived under and fled the tyranny of Rome

This engraving depicts the execution of David van der Leyen and Levina Ghyselins, described variously as Dutch Anabaptists or Mennonites, by Catholic authorities in Ghent in 1554.

Hellloooooo!!!!!!! Post 567 is YOURS......

This is a quote from MarkBsnr in post 567, as copied and pasted...

Quote: Post 567:”But killing and torture of those who did not subscribe to the particular Protestant brand of each colony were, until the federal government quelled it. Massachusetts was a particularly barbaric colony, although several others vied for its level of barbarism. Where did you guys get your education? Have you no idea of what was actually done in history or do you have the usual American glaze eyed deer in the headlights stare when it comes to actual reality? “ Unquote.

How long did the torture and murder continue before the feds put a stop to it?

Dr E....While we are still human and not God, and while we still sin because our sin nature is never completely eradicated by our sanctification, yet we are ACQUITTED OF OUR SINS BY GOD WHO ACCEPTS CHRIST AS PAYMENT FOR OUR SINS.

You cannot pull this fast one on us. You have claimed that you are written personally in the book of Life from before the creation of the universe. Now you are saying that your salvation is of your own doing. What is it? You cannot have it both ways.

Take time to read the posts Mark...Dr E took not one bit of credit in her post

It is all Christ.. the Author and finisher of our Salvation .. Hbr 12:2.. He is the author of that book of life, He knows every name in it because He put it there.. .

"How long did the torture and murder continue before the feds put a stop to it?"

The torture and killings didn't stop until well into the 20th century. The klan killed nearly as many Catholics as Blacks for the crime of being a "Papist" or a "Romanist" or an "RC" (do those terms sound familiar?). The good Protestant citizen of many states killed many Irish immigrants. Care to discuss the Mormon persecutions and lynchings?

You do know what a "four flusher" is?

In this era of one-gallon toilets, yes I do.

Is your education really that lacking that you can't supply references? Talk is cheap. We are not speaking of the Vatican where "sensitive" documents are not made available to historians.

The education of the lackeys here is really what is the question. If they don't comprehend their own history, what in the world do they think that they will be able to do in the modern political world? We are not speaking of cheapjack postings of photoshopped pictures, we are speaking of the fundamentals of the foundations of this nation. And the folks that you are fronting for have not the wit to comprehend, nor the intelligence to appreciate. Aside from intellectual indulgence, why do you dip your toe into the shallow end of the American intellectual pool? Protecting the unable and unconscious from the results of their actions?
