You make it sound as if the Mormons ran like little babies from the battle. This is not true and you know it.
They formed a militia and prepared to face the full force of the government troops sent by the president. Thankfully it was a bloodless war, for the most part. Mormons raided supply trains and burned 500,000 lbs. of food etc. intended for the U.S. troops.
Everyone on this thread, whether Mormon or not, should read the article below. Perhaps if men today stood against an oppressive government as these Mormon men did, we might be able to cleanse the gene pool of mamby-pamby little girlie- men that seem to be so prevelant in today’s society.
