“...the US governemnet needs to shut it down...”

Uh, I think they tried that already and the Mormons pretty much told them to go to hell.

It’s a ‘Constitutional thing’, so you probably wouldn’t understand.

the US governemnet needs to shut it down as a false church

You have got to be kidding. It is not the government's job to declare what religion is true or false. It is a Christian's job to witness his faith. Demanding the government shut it down is not only unconservative, it is unchristian and frankly, a lazy bastardization of The Great Commission.

Let me give you a few good facts.

This and the next election are probably the most important elections of my lifetime.

I and many of my fellow Mormons are out working for the CONSERVATIVE candidates.

Well, not ALL of your fellow mormons:

Ace Robison is endorsing Harry Reid.
That's the same Robison who is the former chairman of the Nevada Republican Party, former chief of staff to Paul Laxalt. It's the same Robison who is (former?) stake president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Moapa Valley.  Most astoundingly, it's also the Ace Robison who for decades has played an integral role in attempting to develop the nuclear waste repository at Yucca Mountain.

His greatest adversary?  Harry Reid.

http://forums.floridasportsman.com/forum/politics/nevada-state-senate-republican-leader-endorses-harry-reid-trashes-angle

Harry Reid's AND Ace Robison's religion?  Mormon.

When you walk through a pig pin...

Still "hosing the pigs" Sandy?

You guys got your hats handed to you the first time you tried that.

Why so many LDS threads

The Cabala is a body of occult doctrine, originally Jewish, which has been adopted with enthusiasm by non-Jewish occultists since the fifteenth century.... Modern occultists are attracted to the Cabala because of its age and its mystery, and because they can draw from it the great magical principles that the universe is a unity, that it has an underlying pattern connected with numbers and planets, that man is God and the universe in miniature, and that man can develop the divine spark within him until he masters the entire universe and himself becomes God.(1)

The author misrepresents Kabbalah (cabala). It does not teach that man can become a god or the all of nature is god. Kabbalah can be twisted into such a thing but Kabbalah, studied within Judaism, under strict guidelines (a person must have a thorough knowlege or Torah, be at least 40 years old, study under a Rabbi who is learned in Kabbalah etc) does not produce a pantheistic result nor a god-man.

Mormonism is a cult offshoot of Christianity and Christianity is a cult offshoot of Jewish doctrine. You should put your investigative efforts into examining your own cultish beliefs.

This is an incorrect definition. "Necromancy" is not communication with the dead per se, but conjuring up a dead person's spirit for the purpose of fortunetelling, which is exactly what King Saul did in Scripture. (The "-mancy" ending refers to fortunetelling; cf bibliomancy, lithomancy, cephalomancy, etc.)

It may be incomplete; it's certainly not incorrect.

Necro = dead
mancy, etymologically, means either forth telling something prophetically, or foretelling something prophetically.

See post #34 at: They see dead people?

Certainly what you've contributed here puts the proper focus on man trying to initiate such contact.

ansel12: there are freepers that were Mormons, that have become Christians, because of the educational information in these Mormon threads.

Name ‘em...magritte

ansel12: Does that mean that you are claiming to not be aware of that fact?
____________________________________________

Magritte by his own admission is a Jew and has never beem a mormon...

so therefore has no concept of what it means to escape and leave the religion of mormonism and be born again and forgiven of his sins by the Blood of the LORD Jesus Christ into Christianity..

I think the problem here is magritte does not acknowledge Christianity as being a belief apart from the false religion of mormonism..

Thanks Colofornian-I am a Charismatic Catholic. I know the Holy Spirit.I use to avoid these Mormom threads. Then when we had a thread about Christian scripture a mormon posted a Url to a mormon scripture site. I went to it. Well let me tell you that I had the same presence that was at former friend's occultic house presence. I know the occult when I see it. I have never felt a more strong Anti-Christ presence in a so-called religion.

We who are Christian who believe Christ came in the flesh( Divinty became human) have the Lords presence.

1 John 4

Test the Spirits

"1Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world."

Mormon's do not believe this!

I am sorry I know the occult when I see it. Get out of this religion. It's a lie.

I will now be more aggressive towards Mormons. I am sorry but I have to tell the truth. You Mormons may be good citizens to the nation. But your are lacking towards Christ. You are being fooled!

Colofornian keep up the good info!

More to the point magritte is well aware that freepers have said that these threads led them to leave Mormonism and become Christians.

My earthly boss is Owner, CEO, and Head Salesman of his company, but that’s not his name.

**“In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.”**

Just like all the others that repeat a command instead of obeying it. The name is JESUS.

The Father’s name is Jesus:
Jesus told those listening in John 5:43, “I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not; if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.” The Christ was making it clear that his name was not his own, but his Father’s.
“Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by INHERITANCE obtained a more excellent name than they.” Heb. 1:4

I’m sure I don’t have to convince you that the name of the Son is Jesus.

The name that the Holy Ghost responds to is Jesus:
John 14:26, Jesus Christ speaking, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, he shall teach you all things....”.

That’s why the apostles baptized in the name of Jesus; and it was done for the remission of sins. That’s the biblical way.

**Jesus Christ is my personal Savior.**

Have you been personally saved? You need to obey Acts 2:38 for that to happen.

Watching different Christian sects go at it here is like watching Sunni and Shia Muslims go at it... All that's missing is the bloodshed.

I tend to think God has a sense of humor and is looking down on all you saying, "I'm right, you're wrong".... "No I'm right, you're going to Hell"... over the different intrepretations of writings in a couple of books.

At least I hope He has a sense of humor... otherwise, upon croaking, there are going to be a lot of very surprised people.

You would have a point if Mormons were actually Christians

As a general We Christians get along just fine thanks. There is far more we agree on than not and one thing we agree on officially is the LDS is outside of the family.

Uh, I think they tried that already and the Mormons pretty much told them to go to hell.

Ummm...no they didn't. You need to brush up on your con law. The LDS church was unincorporated and their property siezed until they renounced polygamy, which they did claiming it was a 'revelation'.

Rather than telling the gov't to 'go to hell', the LDS church caved.

making it personal again Magritte? ok two can play that game. No you are just an anti Christian troll who has nothing better to do than stick your nose in where it doesn’t belong.

I’ll give you two names for starters...sentinel and Szonian. Both were LDS who have since left and become Christians thanks to the FI’s here on FR.

Now, go craw back under your rock

So you took a bath, big deal that doesn’t make you a Christian. Doctrine matters Sandy and the LDS are sorely lacking in Biblical doctrine.

Sandy, if you actually READ the article, usually posted from LDS sources, you might learn something and come out of that stupid cult!

Knowledge is power.
