“Interestingly, a significant lapse in the record of these events through history occurred during the ages of Faith, only to resume with the Protestant revolt.”

Bull poop.

There exist paintings from the late middle ages that clearly depict flying metal discs in the sky. The “age of Faith” involved censorship and exceedingly tight control over who learned to read and write, and what information was disseminated. It was a capitol crime to create or read the Holy Bible in any language other than Latin!

The mother Church has made efforts during the past century to supersede their past failures to recognize scientific endeavors as applying to the real world, not the spiritual. Science need not be a threat to religion — no one has been burned at the stake by astronomers — but the Church has persecuted and executed scientists in the past, act the Church deeply regrets and has apologized for having done.

This whole article smacks of propaganda which is really unfortunate. I was reared as a Roman Catholic and defend the church frequently but articles such as this, well, it's just too much.

While I agree that this does have a pro-RCC spin to it, I wouldn’t consider it “Bull poop” just because of that. Even taking into consideration the source, there is a sizeable amount of evidence supporting the idea that the UFO phenomenon is grounded in demonology as understood from the Christian perspective. I also would heartily agree with an earlier poster that unless you have a strong faith and a firm grasp of spiritual warfare, DO NOT DABBLE in this field. Seriously, this is extremely dangerous territory for most people.
