Hi greyfoxx,
I don’t demand to be called a Christian. I do think it’s an accurate description of who I am, and who Latter-day Saints are — believers in Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world.
Regards,
Normandy
I think, Normandy, that you are perhaps equating a moral life as being Christian. I don't doubt that you are a very moral and ethical person.
Do you place your faith in Christ for eternal life? Or perhaps you place your faith upon your own works, ordinances and covenants for your exaltation. Take a test and see if you can have faith in receiving the best that God the Father and Christ has to offer. Is it dependent on something YOU do?
You don't need to answer that, Norm. I know what the answer was when I was a Mormon.
Ohhh...OK.
So does it bother you that most of the Christian community does not agree with your description?
Do you CALL yourself Christian?
Do you EXPECT to be seen as Christian?
Do you expect others to call your sect Christian?
“I dont demand to be called a Christian. I do think its an accurate description of who I am, and who Latter-day Saints are believers in Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world.”
Normandy, then you don’t have the slightest clue about what the Bible says about God, Christ, Salvation, Grace, etc.
You cannot deny those things, substitute your own idea and then be a Christian.
Well, sorry, but you’re wrong.
But what you believe about Jesus matters, it is what makes a person a Christian. And the LDS have very different views of what Jesus saves them from, where it took place and who He is.
These are not minor things, they are what define being a Christian.
If you follow the wrong Christ, then you are not a Christian and Mormons follow the wrong Christ. Sorry but it is true.
