Sounds like there was no theological problems here, rather a failure to act within the rules.

In addition to what AB pointed out about custody of the Blessed Sacrament "confusion over the administration of Mass offerings" combined with "absence of adequate economic stewardship" smells like simony. If Mass stipends are being improperly administered there's a problem.

But the HUGE red, screaming alarm is the violation of the internal forum. Look it up... that's very bad stuff.

I don't know why they basically buried the three biggies in all that bureaucratspeak. Mishandling of Mass stipends, irreverent custody of the Blessed Sacrament, violation of the internal forum: 1, 2, 3 shut down everything!
