Even though he has disassociated himself from lds, they still claim as a victory conversion. The question is why would they want to? When you read his writings is is completely off any sane reservation.

The LDS river is wide, we see that here on FR all the time. They will “claim” anyone, indeed the more confused they and their message is the better. The success of the LDS is totally based on never really landing on one idea for long.
