He often speaks of the US Constitution as if it were divinely inspired and the Founding Fathers as if they were prophets from God.

You completely misinterpret what Glenn expounds on -- when Jefferson wrote "And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor" did you think he meant that it was all happenstance or that those men came up with their ideas and ideals all by themselves?

I am open to the possibility that I have misinterpreted Beck. I do not wish to put the worse construction upon his views; however, I have also watched Glenn on FOX, and there is a context to his views. I cannot help but believe that Glenn’s Mormonism has affected his views. Glenn seems to believe that the answer to our political problems is a religious revival. I have nothing against revivals, but the assumption is that if everyone turns to God that we will all hold to the same political views, and that God will bless our nation. This is a form of religious triumphalism.
I am a big fan of Jefferson; however, Jefferson would not be my mentor when it comes to religion. Jefferson was a Deist who denied the divinity of Jesus and all the miracles in the Bible. The god of Jefferson is not the God that Christians worship. I do not even know what Divine Providence means. It sounds more like another term for luck.
