Disagreement with the theological tenets of Mormonism is not bigotry. I agree that Christians must reject the claims of Mormonism, but I also believe Christians should reach out to Mormons with “gentleness and respect” (1 Peter 3:15). I consider it bigotry when an individual’s response to the Beck rally is tantamount to “I agree with the message in principle, but will reject it because the messenger was Mormon.”
This below isn't bigotry, it is Christian, and American concern.
"I thought I was the only one getting this creepy feeling that Glen was playing a bait and switch game. I used to really like to listen to him until he morphed into his new role as spiritual leader. America's descent into godlessness seems to be being coming from all sides now. What does it benefit a nation to gain back republican, conservative leadership if we lose our national souls to another false god?"
Nice post, The Key is to disagree without being disagreeable.
As for me, I find it interesting that Many will tell me that I am not a “Christian” when I clearly am, what they should be saying is that I am not an “Orthodox Christian” the first strips me of my God, the second I would readily agree with. perhaps it is just semantics, but to quote from the last emperor “Words are important because a gentleman always means what he says, and you can’t mean what you say unless you can say what you mean.”
Have a great day and God bless
