The Treachery of the Perverse- by billrandles

Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.(Proverbs 1:20-23)

As the Proverbs tells us ,Wisdom is crying out in the public concourse. However it is only accessible to those who have ears to hear.Although the application of this verse includes the public call of evangelism and Scripture it is not limited to these two. The Wisdom of God is also calling out to us in current events that through our media become common knowledge.

Three disturbing News items , two of them recent and one that goes back a few years , are connected in a way , that I believe calls for the attention of “Him who has ears to Hear”.

* The Wikileaks scandal; that is the leaking of 200,000 plus pages of sensitive ,confidential documents relating to our war in Afghanistan. Already there are Afghans who took the noble and risky risk of trusting the US enough to help us in the war, who have been slaughtered because of the release of their names.

This is not to mention the fact that the leaks represent a betrayal of all of our young ,volunteer warriors who have put themselves in harm’s way to go to Afghanistan to give the Afghan people a chance to have a better life.

The under reported aspect of this sad betrayal is that it was an active , flamboyant Homosexual soldier who is the prime suspect in custody for the leaks this from the August 1, Cliff Kincaid Canada Free Press story ,

Military Homosexual Scandal linked to Tied to Wikileaks

“In another bizarre twist, reliable reports suggest that Private First Class Bradley Manning, the U.S. Army Intelligence analyst accused of leaking the classified information to the WikiLeaks.org website, was not only a homosexual but was considering a sex change. Manning was arrested at the end of May and is being detained by U.S. authorities.

The Telegraph features photographs of Manning, who could face more than 50 years in prison for treasonous conduct, holding up a sign with rainbow colors demanding “equality on the battlefield” and participating in a gay pride parade.’

* Another recent story is the “coming out” of former Bush Campaign manager and advisor, Ken Mehlman. At the time Mehlman was head of the RNC(Republican National Comittee) the party was championing traditional values, including the Defense of Marriage Act. But Mehlman laments that “He didn’t do enough to rein in anti gay initiatives”, in an August 28, 2010 Charlotte Observer editorial, Ken Mehlman’s Surprising Revelation, by Taylor Batten,

“As head of the RNC, Mehlman helped the Republican Party capitalize politically on anti-gay initiatives, including the Bush administration’s push for a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. Had he been open with his sexuality, Mehlman admits, he could have done more to rein in that anti-gay agenda. But he just wasn’t there yet,

Ken Mehlman’s Surprising Revelation

Could have done more? He shoudn’t have done any! If He had any integrity at all he would have removed himself from such a position, when he had such a conflict of interest.

* Finally there is the ongoing Ted Haggard saga. I have a lot of sympathy for any who struggle with temptation and secret sin, we should all be able to relate to that. I pray that Haggard gets his life together.

But it was bad enough that Haggard had these twin problems of drug and homosexual craving, and yet stayed on a pastor of an evangelical church, thus betraying the church itself.

But Haggard went further, knowing he had these problems,He was ambitious enough to take the headship of the National Association of Evangelicals, all the while knowing he had these struggles. The NAE was at the tie one of the most outspoken voices seeking to stop the Homosexual Agenda.

Even being exposed in his sin wasn’t enough to sate Haggard’s appetite for attention. He won’t remove himself from the public eye, as he is a frequent guest on Oprah, Larry King, and others who parade him out to ‘balance’ the voice of any evangelical who does happen to speak out against evil on those venues.

IF Ted Haggard had really repented in the biblical sense, we would probably never see him in public media again. But his need for attention overpowers any love for the church and her respectability. The latest is that now Haggard is publicly announcing that he is starting another church!

What is Wisdom saying in all of this, to those who have ears to hear? I hear wisdom cautioning us in this time of the mainstreaming and widespread acceptance of homosexuality, that such perversion is treacherous!

Homosexuality (I refuse to call it gay- homosexuals are actually quite miserable people), is a deep betrayal as it is, there is no loyalty in it other than to self. Homosexuals betray society because they seek for their own reasons to destroy the fundamental building block of society, the family.

They betray children, because they use them as “props” in their “Civil Rights” propaganda campaign, when anyone with a lick of common sense knows that a child needs to be reared in as healthy and normal an environment as possible to be mentally stable. But the life of a child is just a means to an end for Homosexuals.

I have issues with the Catholic church, and in no way want to endorse them, but having said that, it is true that homosexuals deliberately infiltrated Catholic seminaries in the sixties, that they might position themselves to destroy it from within.

Paul warned that one of the danger of the last days would be that men would be “Lovers of themselves” and “Lovers of Pleasure more than Lovers of God”, and as a consequence, they would become “traitors, heady, and high minded”.

The promotion of Homosexuality is one of the sins that will bring the Judgment of God upon America. I am sure because of this, there will be many, many more treacheries, betrayals and costly sellouts costing countless lives, billions of dollars and national credibility and honor.

As Wisdom herself says, in Proverbs 8, “…All those who hate me love death!”

Wisdom is not learned in a class room, or a skill to acquire, wisdom is given by GOD.
The bible tells us that if any lack wisdom, that we can ask GOD for his wisdom, and he will gladly, and liberally give it to us.
That is the only time that I can think of where the word liberal, or liberally is mentioned in the bible, and it has nothing to do with the liberal agenda, or ideology, in this case, the word liberally means, that GOD will give us wisdom abundantly, freely, without restraints.
As for this article, yes wisdom is crying out, and more to the truth, shouting out in this time telling us that we are going down the wrong road to destruction.

Quote: Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.(Proverbs 1:20-23)

Interesting to note that Wisdom in Proverbs is the personification of Christ Jesus; for Christ Jesus crieth out HIS voice in the chief places of concourse in the openings city gates of Jerusalem.

I have a solid bible study started on Proverbs which associates Proverbs with Israel's lessons to reach maturity as a son; but Israel failed to mature as a son and remained only children as under the Law and under the tutorship and governorship of a governor and Law teacher (Moses and the Law).

The lesson in Proverbs chapter 1:2-6 outline Israel's son-ship education program:

"To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; to receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; to give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: to understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings"

Son-ship Education resides in God’s Word for both Israel and today’s believer-saint, e.g. Son. Israel failed, but Christ did utilize the course of education that was laid out for Israel, which is contained in the book of Proverbs.

Christ, as a shoot of Jesse, grew and matured into a biblical son via the course of instructions and paths of God as outlined inside Proverbs. Jesse was David’s father, whom taught David the essential doctrines of Israel’s God; Jesse taught David the basis of the son-ship curriculum which Jesse learned; then David, as Solomon’s father, taught Solomon the same basis of the son-ship curriculum which is now contained inside the book of Proverbs.

Therefore, Proverbs fully outlines the curriculum for a son-ship education. After David, including Solomon, Israel failed to attain maturity as a son. That is why God blessing - curses as found in the book of Deuteronomy resulted in Israel's five (5) courses of punishment, which endured until Christ's virgin birth. Christ as God's Son then used Israel's curriculum for son-ship education, and the course of this material is from the book of Proverbs.

That is the purpose of this web site; to introduce the curriculum for a son today; to provide an introduction of verses of both Proverbs and Romans thru 2 Thessalonians.

Proverbs Son-ship Education (Introduction)

The book of Proverbs teaches three levels of son ship growth. Proverbs outlines this curriculum in chapter 1, verses 2 – 6. Proverbs 1:2-6 serve as a table of contents for Israel's son ship curriculum. Furthermore, inside Israel’s son ship education, this curriculum follows the pattern:

1) knowledge - to know God; to know God's doctrine; to know God's purpose, etc.

2) perceive - to perceive with perception and understanding the doctrine and instructions of God

3) receive - to receive the instructions which results in His doctrine written to the fleshy tables of the heart

Knowledge is the base, leading to perception, and capstone by receiving instruction. David taught Solomon the knowledge of God, Solomon perceived what his father David was instructing, and thus Solomon received this instruction into his heart. Solomon wrote Proverbs which details this education which David taught him. Proverbs 1:7 thru chapter 9 contain the biblical exhortation for the doctrinal outline in Proverbs 1:2-6. Below you will see the sub-heading that outlines the doctrine that is for us today which corresponds to the biblical exhortation from each table of content doctrinal outline as found in Proverbs 1:2-6.

The Son-ship Education Curriculum

Simple Son

Young Man

Wise Man

The word Liberal is found in the Bible, and used in Isaiah: here the liberal is called a vile person and compared with a rude vile churl person [Churl: A rude, boorish person. A miserly person.] The Liberal is aptly described in Isaiah 32. I will develop the identity of the liberal with that of the vile person and the churl after the verses in Isaiah 32.

Isaiah 32:5-8:

v.5 The vile person shall be no more called liberal [due to eternal judgment], nor the churl said to be bountiful. [bountifully rich from stealing from everyone] [note: these are future eschatological judgments]

v.6 For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practice hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

v.7 The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.

v.8 But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.

The vile person shall be no more called liberal. The liberal is associated with the vile person, being named that "vile person" in verse 5. Even though the vile person shall be no more called the liberal; the liberal is that vile person, by grammar structure. That is the identity of the liberal in usage from verse 5-6.

Now notice how the liberal, from verse 6, and is spoken of as being villany, iniquity, hypocrisy, utter error, make empty the soul of the hungry.

Then notice how the liberal is compared with the churl in verse 7, how that liberal is associated with the churl with respect to the hungry and poor by wicked devices (verse 6: poor; verse 7: hungry); making those poor by this vile bountifully rich person who steals from those who are becoming poor, by that act.

Notice here that the liberal is compared precisely as that wicked person to destroy the poor with lying words, even towards the poor which are not wicked, but speak rightly.

This is a perfect description of Barack Obama, who is exactly that liberal liar, even to the poor with false promises which he does not intend to fulfill from his campaign. Barack Obama is a full of villany, full of iniquity, hypocrisy [need we prove more], and utters error against the LORD GOD. Barack Obama is a liar and he is no christian. His liberation theology is false doctrine from doctrines of demons from Rev. [Wrong].

Oh, yes, Liberal is used in the Bible, and today it is evident in the person of liberal democrats and Barack Obama.

And by liberal things shall he [Barack Obama] stand before God on the Judgment Day.

Uh, Solomon did not receive wisdom from his dad David.

He asked for it from God, who commended Solomon for asking for the one thing that most men will not ask for.

Solomon did not ask for riches or glory or wine women or song, he asked God for wisdom.

I don't see how any Jungian dad/son mythos can be attached to the David Solomon situation.

I'd be more interested in how Solomon sinned and dealt with it and why he was so existential in Ecclesiastes, a book I find myself citing more and more often.

And when someone like Solomon was dealing with existential ideas, he really suffered through, didn't he?

Solomon received the Words of Proverbs from God; that is evident. Solomon indeed asked God for wisdom. But we must be careful if we say that Solomon did not receive some words of wisdom from David...that is incorrect doctrine. Solomon clearly learned from David as a SON, David learned from God as a SON of God (as a believer). Solomon did not live in a vacuum; and God was not his only source of wisdom; however, God was the highest and most pure form of wisdom, yes. Solomon learned from David's Psalms.

The pattern of teaching that God established was father to son, and that son, now father, to his son...

God served as Father to David, and David served as father to Solomon. That is Biblical.

To say that Solomon only receive wisdom from God excludes this pattern that God Almighty established with all the Jewish people.

The Pattern:

God, Father --> David Son

David, father --> Solomon Son

God, Father --> Jesus Christ, Son

Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit, God the Father --> Sons (believing Christians)

Interesting, but what would be more compelling to me is a study of Solomon in Eccl., or a study of how the blessing of a person's identity is passed on only by the father not the mother.

In other words, how our father thinks of us or perceives us is how we naturally see ourselves. I think this is a deeper and more powerful lesson than the simple and at times Jungian tinged daddy to son idea that you are concerned with.

Of course Solomon learned from his father; but as an illegitimate or son of a sinful relationship with Bathsheba, I'm sure this also factored into Solomon's own worldliness and world weariness.

Those are more interesting and compelling ideas to me. David's sins of not disciplining his sons are also a huge part of his story so I think you might need to expand your bible horizons a bit. I mean, think about Absalom’s head caught in that tree branch after mounting a rebellion against his own dad.

Not really a simple matter after all, is it?
