Yes, he makes certain statements he could not if he were’t Christian....he does understand salvation ...clearly....but evidences some of the Mormon doctrines on occassion so they are impacting him none the less. Hopefully in time the true Christians who are working with him will help him see his error. I have faith that this will surely come about with time and tide.
Giving to the Lords work is an individual decision between the person and their maker. But it should never be required in order to gain admittance or denied admittance into any area of the church....certainly not something to be “paid up”.
God loves a cheerful giver...and he calls it giving. I know of an individual who saves their money to give to their Pastor each month..to meet the unexpected needs when their is no time for a board to meet. A seperate account records these donations now and many more give to these unexpected events where cash is needed asap. Is it a tithe? Yes one could call it that...otheres a donation....but it meets the unexpected and urgencies that do come up...God then meets these as they occur.
Or his own church leadership will tell him to change his procedure. Either way, a separation will have to occur at some point.
