Thank you both. The vinegar worked well getting the skunk smell out of the dog-She now smells like tossed salad.

I've heard to use tomato juice (or maybe sauce). It's probably a good thing you were told about vinegar first.

I dug out the skunk shampoo recipe anyway. Here it is for future reference, (In case she didn’t learn the first time)

1 quart Hydrogen Peroxide
1/4 C Baking soda
1 Tbsp Dawn dishwashing detergent

Stir together S-L-O-W-L-Y. DO NOT cap.

I guess it’s a make as you go kind of thing. I doubt it would have good shelf life, but she said it worked better than anything else, like tomato juice, and her dog didn’t end up pink.
