Did I ever indicate that it was not also a problem in the non Catholic world.. but lets face it ..Rome started it.. and it has spread like a cancer through Christianity .
The major difference is we do not canonize or pray to charlatans like Pio or nuts like Teresa
The "emergent church" which admits it is not "christian" is pushing this hard.. and it weeps over to the main line churches..
But ya know that does not excuse Catholicism that is built fully on mysticism ..from top to bottom
LOL, Jewish Mysticism dates back to at least Ezekiel and Babylonian and Egyptian influences in the region predate even that. Religious history did not begin on the road to Tarsus.
