Theology is reasoning about the Divine. It is useful, but incomplete. God can't be drawn down fully into reason. Cronos has posted about the holding of contradictions both fully in the mind. When we reduce the Divine into reason, often that is what results - two contradictionsThe Jews have a better way of saying it paradox!

In the West, I think "mystery" is used instead, but that doesn't quite capture what we're talking about. Paradox does.
