Time will tell.
It is inaccurate to say I called Mary a pet rabbit.
Are we going to go through another 100 posts of RC’s screaming about me calling Mary a pet rabbit when I did not?
I clearly made an analogy. Deal with the analogy. Misstating what I said is not dealing with it.
I’m glad I didn’t say pit bull! Sheesh.
Your analogy extended to Mary being in a cage out in the back yard. I think a more fair analogy would have been to address me with "that's like saying, I DON'T LOVE YOU BECAUSE I DON'T LOVE YOUR MOTHER" except that might have gotten too close to the point.
I honor you to come to your house for dinner when I go straight to the back yard, climb in the rabbit hutch and chow down on some carrots with your pet rabbit as a way of honoring you. that would have made more sense as "I honor you to come to your house for dinner when I sit down at the table and eat with your mother as a way of honoring you"... Well yeah, if my mother lives in my house, if you sit down with her you sit down with me.
As it happens if you did have a rabbit out back I'd probably pay it a visit and (horrors) maybe even comment on what a nice bunny it is. Now if it happened that the bunny in question was your mother...
ROTFLOL!
That's all.
Just ROTFLOL!!!
