I have never been so totally and correctly convicted in my life. Starting today, I must change. I'll tell you what flipped the switch: Mary is the only creature who has a mother's love for God. (Obviously not the Father or the Holy Ghost, don't go all crazy on me.)

I don't have first hand experience of what maternal love is really like except as the recipient, but I can detect it in my wife. I've understood, intellectually and somewhat emotionally that Jesus has a son's love for His mother and I can kind of grasp that. And that's always been the foundation for my "toleration" of Marian piety. When I (less than an hour ago) realized the fullness of the relationship that must exist when the former is joined to the latter it was quite possibly the closest thing to an epiphany I've ever experienced.

I hate to challenge folks EXPERIENCES . . . however, I think you need to change your "epiphany" in on a new one. That one was sold by a used car salesman.

Mary has more than Mama's love for Christ BY HIS SPIRIT--AND BECAUSE OF THAT, SHE DEPLORES ANY ADORATION, DEVOTION, VENERATION, PRAISE, ACCOLADES, WORSHIP etc. given to her whatsoever. ZIP, NADA, is what pleases HER.

Mother's love can easily be misplaced, overblown, etc. Even Mary had to have her love for Christ purified by Christ's blood and Holy Spirit.

The carnal, human love . . . even mother's love, is inadequate for the supremely Godly focus. Holy Spirit has to birth within us proper Godly Love. AND THAT LOVE HE BIRTHS WITHIN US FOR GOD HAS NOTHING WHATSOEVER DO WITH OR EXPRESS TOWARD MARY.

HOLY SPIRIT, OF COURSE, GETS IT RIGHT. YOU'D BEST GET IT RIGHT, TOO. TIME IS RUNNING OUT.

Your series of responses are, and I'm trying to be charitable to the point of error here, all over the place.

At one point early on you wrote: "Yet folks are arrogantly defining and describing Heavenly existentials without a visit?" Then you went on to do precisely that with "Loving Mamma did her duty. Now she’s teaching aborted babies the ways of God. End of story."

Then you go on to disagree with absolutely everyone including Luther, Calvin, Zwingli and Wesley (who all believed in the perpetual virginity of Mary)... for no reason I can really understand.

Then you call Mary Our Lord's pet rabbit. Strange that, I wonder how Our Lord feels about that. I know that if you called my mother a pet rabbit I'd escort you through the front window by the seat of your pants. I think that for your opinions to work then Our Lord would have to be different from us in more ways than just sin. Sort of a "well He was man, but not really, it was more of an act".

THEN something very weird happens, you appear to start (and I can't phrase this any other way) "channeling" God. A lot. "Mamma's first job with me is done." "GET YOUR PRIORITIES RIGHT BEFORE ME", etc. Some of it I understood as Quix speaking for Christ but other parts looked like Quix speaking as Christ... or more accurately Christ speaking as Quix.

So there was a whole bunch of yelling, shouting and hysteria that didn't bring anything new to the table. What you have written lately has led me to more seriously and deeply explore Catholic Marian piety and what I find is that it's beautifully Christocentric, more so than I had ever appreciated.

It's times like this that I humorously wonder if you aren't really a secret Vatican agent after all, I think you've done more to advance the Catholic Faith than anything I've ever written.
