When my husband John went to Sydney, Australia, to attend a pastor's conference, he had planned to have time to see a little of this country where he had never been. God had a better plan.
Rudy and Pam Peleis had graciously opened their home for John to stay with them. Rudy had been in a wheel chair for seven years, after a work accident in which he was hit with an iron bar and his spine was broken. He was in much pain and had considered suicide more than once.
John wondered why God had placed him in this home. As he prayed, the Lord gave John a vision of Rudy's healing. Rudy had been prayed over by many people and therefore had a bit of doubt when John told him about his vision.
On the third evening of the conference, Pastor Jim Hayford [Qx doesn't know if he's related to Jack Hayford, or not] preached from Acts 3:1-10, and the Lord quickened the message to Rudy's heart. After the message, Pastor Hayford invited several other pastors to join him and gave an invitation for any who were sick to come forward. Rudy came.
John took Rudy by his hands and said, "Brother Rudolph, in the name of Jesus Christ rise up!" Rudy tried to stand; he wanted to stand up and praise the Lord. Suddenly his legs began to come alive; they supported his weight. Shouts of praise and clapping filled the air. Rudy felt a strong sensation flood his legs and feet. He was now standing without help. God had healed him.
Within three months, Rudy had discarded his crutches as he gained strength and was completely healed.
