NOPE. NOT MOST of the contentious ones. They only seem to care to have me obliterated from FR.
That would be fine if they had the capacity or decency to engage in the fray in a more or less equal give and take.
They do not.
I would be delighted if the RC side had a variation on a Quix. I would enjoy the colored fonts, the special language and terms, the humor, the satire, the mocking, all of it would be fun to me. I would consider it refresingly real dialogue and iron sharpening iron.
Instead, I have endless jerk-face posts 90-100% grossly distorting facts etc. etc. etc. as though what they were saying were truly factual when routinely it’s anything but factual.
It would be one thing if it was satire, humor, hyperbole, wit, skillful mockery etc. It’s not.
It’s just bitterness, anger, hostility, vengeance, KILL-THE-MESSENGER etc. ad nauseum.
Rain on em. That kind of attitude is not worth a bucket of puke.

I have never thought you should be obliterated from FR.
I would like to “engage” in equal give and take with capacity and decency, but I wouldn’t want to call it a “fray”.
I don’t feel “bitterness, anger, hostility or vengeance”.
I also find your manner of posting difficult for several reasons: I don’t see the need for all the colors and bold fonts and capitals. I do wonder what purpose it serves.
I also think that many of your posts don’t really say much, or say what you have said already a hundred times over, or have “shock value” rather than something more substantive for straight-forward discussion.
One thing that certainly has disturbed me on occasions is your reference to your language style and satire as “fun”. A number of times you have referenced this way, even to the point of calling it “playing” with other posters.
Even in this post you make a reference to mocking, which you say would be fun for you.
If that mocking or satire were occasional it might be more meaningful and more palatable. But it’s not just occasional—it’s pretty consistent and permeating.
Now that I have been honest about this, you might say that I have exercised my privilege to use a “2x4 to the side of the head”. But that’s not at all what I have in mind. I’m just telling you how it is with me, as an FR lurker/part-time poster.
I also think that something has happened to this thread as of today-—it has become a thread that is a lot about you, and not a topic at hand (whatever the topic at hand is right now—I think the topic is now wandering all over the place.) I was under the impression that threads were not supposed to be “about” individual posters, but about discussion of topics and ideas.
I’ve given it my best shot to be “decent” with this post.
