I was just talking about rhetoric and the form of statements, not the content. I think both sides have some heavy rhetorical artillery and aren’t afraid to use it.

I quibble a lot about statements ostensibly of fact (as opposed to satire etc.) that are the opposite of fact.
However, even that is mostly fine with me . . . people are not as ignorant as some posters seem to think they are. The collective of the average persons on the street can be amazingly wise.
