Look up the Incarnation, and how it changed the world!
Another example of the reductionism, minimalism, etc. in Protestantism. The idea of what the Incarnation means in the context of OT "images" of God is lost, just not minimal enough. Along with the difference between Icon and Idol, Beauty being from God and of God, etc. etc.
There is a strong minimalism as in: "is this necessary?" rather than abundance of life as Jesus taught. And there's a very real dualism: physical=evil...
It isn't the world that is in question. It is the WORD. The Word does not change.
