What is the difference between those that seek Gods mercy and those that do not? Are they more intelligent? More spiritual? More educated? Lack of faith, paradoxically, in both cases. In those who don't seek it, obviously. In those who do seek it, the lack of faith is manifested, imo, by the fact that by asking for it they don't trust that God will do what is merciful and just.
