No, doesn't help because... first of all if Christ death brings one forgiveness of their sin.....and afterwards we go to him when aware of sin ....
Think of all the Gospel exhortations to repent of sin. If you repent of the sin that you have done, then Jesus has taken the atonement for that on the Cross. If you have not, then, what we believe is that the atonement is not there - if you cannot repent, then Jesus did not atone for it.
So you're further saying that if we don't repent then we are to be judged on the sin we did not repent of? If so then once we are judged quilty of that sin unrepentant of...then what? What will follow and the consequence of that sin being judged as guilty?
Matthew 25 is most eloquent. Hellfire and damnation forever.
Well then that means when he said “It is finished” it only covers some of our sins... the sins we have repented of? Further that if we are not aware of those sins...or are struggling to overcome them..then until that sin is fully repented of we most assuredly are in danger of hell? Is that what you’re saying?
So we may be 99.9998% "atoned up" and if we forgot that time when we were 12 and stole a candy bar from Grandma, what, we're doomed???
