Clearly, they have no defense of their faith and they can’t support their beliefs and practices from Scripture. The only thing left is more lies and ridicule.
They’ve got that down pat.
From lots of practice both on this thread and from what I recall dealing with Catholics in real life. There’s no difference.
And they wonder why people leave the Catholic church. Any church which claims to be Christian and doesn’t make an appreciable difference in how people lead their everyday lives doesn’t deserve the designation of *Christian* and is not one I’d stay with no matter what the denominational affiliation.
Matthew 5:11-12"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
The Pharisees lied about Jesus too, before they crucified Him. They misrepresented what He said and presented false testimony about Him, twisting His words.
Those men under the Law who prided themselves for keeping the Law, only did it outwardly. Remember, Jesus called them whitewashed tombs. All shining and clean (and religious) on the outside and full of rottenness on the inside.
