Eh, sorry. Prosopos IS face or person. The onus is on you to prove that all of a sudden here an exception should be made and “prosopos” translated “presence”. I explained why “person of Christ” is a necessary addition: because without this reference to authroity of Christ St. Paul appears to simply try to please the Corinthians.

Now let’s here your theory. Why, do you think, is it necessary to mention the presence of Christ if not to refer to the authority of Christ given St. Paul?
