I think if you want to get a clear picture about Mormonism, you are better off not relying only on information from people who are strongly opposed to it.

A couple of good starting points would be sites published by the LDS Church

If you will note Deb, I sent you to the essentially the same sources, the BOM and their other doctrine are on those sites. Read as much as you can of ALL of their information including the words of their leaders. Compare the words and ideas from all the sources as to where there is agreement and where there is confusion. If you follow the bible, use that as your compass. The Bible is very clear and straight forward in many areas.

One caveat, read them freely and without outside influence of any type and weight them against what is real and what you know. You will have your answer.
