BSA is still a multi-cultural and religious organism. Unfortunately, we’re seeing more and more “ethnic” units. What I mean is, BSA is leaning towards PC.
When I was active in the LdS Scouting program, I lost every “conflict” between young men and Scouting. A non-LdS youth would be faced with two choices, participate in the young men’s activity (missionary work) or find another unit.
Sorry, the “unfortunate” thing about the “ethnic” units is that kids are being segregated instead of integrated, based on various PC related themes. Race and ethnic background are the two primary ones.
Thats the kind of thing I was talking about. It makes scouting exclusive and not inclusive.
