Do you remember when John the Baptist was in prison? He sent someone to ask Jesus if he was the Messiah. Why??? Because the Messiah John was taught about would come as a warrior king, not a servant. How many Christians today know that Jesus will kill all of Israel’s enemies with a word the same way He killed the fig tree that was producing no fruit.
Have you not studied why God closes or opens eyes and ears?
...it says “the god of this world”...
2 Cor. 4:3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,
4. in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
5. For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus’ sake.
