Jews have always been the underdog or minority in every community. They root for the guy without an advantage.

Not in antiquity. But, in the last couple thousand years, yes; and they have been persecuted for most of that period. Modern Israel, though, will not so readily submit to that persecution. Modern Israel will fight, and God bless it for that. I’m a Catholic, and I’ll be sixty on my next birthday; but I would gladly bleed for Israel if she needed it.
