Although she has had many husbands, the Church only recognizes the first. But you have to understand, she has outlived ALL of them. With the exception of the past 24 years being with the last husband. So she just might be in full communion with the church :) We all have sins, I’m glad she had the chance to be given last rites, most familys wait until it is to late to administer them: From a Catholic Priest friend: “last rites” are Viaticum, including Apostolic Pardon, Renewal of Baptismal Promises, Confirmation, and Communion. Often, the family (and the patient) wait too long to call for the priest, because we are seen as a sign of death instead of life. Therefore, the main part of the real “last rites” Viaticum, Food for the Journey, can’t be ministered.
