If any man love not our Lord Jesus Christ, let him be anathema, maranatha. (1 Corinthians 16:22)
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema. As we said before, so now I say again: If any one preach to you a gospel, besides that which you have received, let him be anathema. (Galatians 1:8-9)
Ive presented my case of why I think that communion is symbolic and not the actual physical body and blood. I see no point in reiterating it when its upthread.
But you have yet to respond to the FACT that the Real Presence was definitively taught less than a century after the Resurrection.
Just for the record, when DOES it turn into the actual flesh and blood?
When it is consecrated.
I never ate a piece of raw flesh, it was always a communion wafer.
How do you know?
All Christians in the early Church believed in the Real Presence. That's why the pagan Romans accused the early Christians they were martyring of cannibalism. Doh!
Cause I know what raw meat looks like and it ain’t white and round and flat.
Two anathemas, by PAUL (of all people) about not believing in Christ and the gospel THEY presented, IOW, the one found in the NT.
Of course, someone who doesn’t believe in Christ and trust Him (love Him) is going to be eternally condemned. There’s no other choice for getting to heaven. It’s Christ or nothing.
