Christ referenced the authority of Scripture dozens of times in the New Testament.

"It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me." -- John 6:45

Every time Jesus encountered that mindset, He condemned it and responded with *It is written....*.

Because that is clearly not true.
