The FALSE charge was made last night that Catholics believe Mary to be the Mother of God the Father (”Almighty Father/God”). Whether that charge resulted from an honest misunderstanding and wasn't a deliberate attempt to confuse the issue...I'm willing to accept that explanation. It makes sense to me. The language IS sometimes tricky.
I just hope we don't see that charge repeated here in the future.
Just in case it comes up again, I've bookmarked a few of the posts here for reference.
My use of
Almighty/Father God was because I SUSPECTED there might be a miscommunication about terms by my 2nd communication on the topic.
However, WHEN AFTER my use of Almighty/Father God to signify precisely which part of the Trinity I was referring to, there was another VIVID post [vivid being fine with me] to the effect that MARY WAS THE MOTHER OF ALMIGHTY GOD, it
SEEMED clear that
that
was
your position.
I’m relieved to learn that you continued to misunderstand my term and that you do not believe that nonsense.
IF
there’s no further cause for such a charge
and
IF
I’m remotely in my right mind, I certainly won’t repeat such a charge.
