I must add to that post: the Church never said that Mary was the mother of the Trinity, either.
Mary is NOT the mother of God the Father.
Mary is NOT the mother of God the Holy Spirit.
Mary IS the Mother of God the Son. She became His mother when He was conceived in her womb and became man. He is one Person with two natures, Divine and human, and Mary is His Mother.
I don’t know what he means by “Almighty God”. Does he mean the Trinity, God the Father, or God the Son? I’m pretty sure he doesn’t mean the Holy Spirit, but who really knows? It would be nice to get a clarification so a real discussion could take place.
How do you define person??? Is that one human body with two natures???
That’s encouraging.
Lack of Linguistic awareness is not quite as horrific as lack of Biblical awareness.
Proddys can be graciously understanding about the handicaps fostered by the
Vatican Daffynitionary.
Sheesh.
I’m curious—any Proddys out there—did anyone have any doubt that ALMIGHTY GOD = FATHER GOD???
I asked Quix and I understood him to answer that God Almighty denoted what we theologians technically refer to as “the whole ball of wax,” the Trinity.
