Your statement was that he faced death by the Church. My statement was a refutation of your statement. Martin Luther went to his deathbed in wealth and luxury and wrapped himself in extreme antiSemitism right up to his last sermon 3 days before his death.

Luther was excommunicated after the Church demand that he rescind 41 of his 95 theses, Decet Romanum Pontificem. There was no other sentence passed upon him.

That Luther died of old age, fat and rich, belies the modern Protestant storyline that the Church was an omnipotent Machiavellian syndicate with KGB like hit squads.
